I’m all about Freedom of Choice

I’m interested in natural health and nutrition, being a great believer in the body’s innate ability to  heal. I follow the Druidic wheel of the year, and celebrate the 8 seasonal festivals. Mythology, magic, meditation and 5D possibilities, basically anything unusual and out of the ordinary, intrigues me.

Get to know me

I’m happily married to my best friend Strike, whom I first met when I was 16, we became great friends throughout our teenage years, yet we lost touch as life paths took us in different directions. Until a fateful day in 1993, when we randomly bumped into each other in a supermarket that neither of us usually frequented and have been inseparable ever since. We were married on the 7th, of the 7th, 2007 in our back garden, by a friend who conducted our ceremony from a script I designed and wrote. This was the moment I knew I would love to help others to experience the potential, the power and magic of creating a very personalised and sacred ceremony.

We have two daughters and five grand-children, all living not far from our home, we feel very blessed to be able to see them all as often as we can. Our family gatherings are loud, a little bit chaotic, fun and often full of cheeky banter.

When my girls were young I had the opportunity to stay at home with them until they started school, which I loved, it was the best time of my life. I felt it was an absolute privilege to spend so much time with them in their formative years.

I went on to train as a Holistic Health Therapist, and offered Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Body Massage and Reiki on a part-time basis within school hours. I would say the thing I got the most satisfaction from though, was teaching meditation to small groups, I would start groups on a rolling six week course, some of which continued for years! Meditation has to be the best form of self development, we learnt a lot, laughed a lot and cried every now and then. Meditation for me is a daily habit, it such an integral part of my life.

My husband and I also started buying properties, in 2006 we bought our 1st buy to let, since then we have completed many re-furbishments, a few straight forward flips and developed a successful student property portfolio. In 2016 we felt we had one last big project in us, have you ever watched Grand Designs on the TV and thought, they must be mad? Yes, you do have to be a bit mad, and very determined to see these projects through, we bought an old disused pub and converted it into 9 luxury apartments. The build took 18 months from the start of the project to doors being open for business. It’s a great achievement that we are both really proud of, though it was probably one of the most stressful times in our lives.

Why I’m a Celebrant

Which brings me to where I am today, I decided I wanted to do something different, something for me, that makes my heart sing.

I’ve actually been a celebrant for many years, conducting ceremonies for friends and family. I love being creative, being in the magic of ceremony, raising my vibration, connecting with others in heartfelt ways, so offering my services as a professional celebrant seems to be the perfect joyful next step on my path.

I’m really excited about the future, I’m looking forward to contributing and enhancing the experience for you and your family as you celebrate life in all its aspects. The overwhelming joy of the arrival of a new baby. The passion, excitement and unbounded hopes and dreams of the newlywed couple. The deep yearning to remember a loved one and to treasure their memory within your heart.
